Agate Gray Botswana Tumbled Stone .75"-1.25"
Mineral Information:
Gray Botswana Agate is a type of banded chalcedony, a mineral in the quartz family, prized for its fine, parallel banding and subtle shades of gray, white, and sometimes soft pinks or browns. It is named after the country of Botswana in southern Africa, where it is primarily found, particularly in the Bobonong district.
Color: Predominantly gray with white banding; may include soft hues of pink, peach, or brown.
Banding: Tight, fine, often curved or concentric bands that can resemble tree rings or topographic maps.
Hardness: About 6.5–7 on the Mohs scale, making it relatively durable.
Luster: Waxy to silky, especially when polished.
Gray Botswana Agate forms in volcanic rock from silica-rich fluids that fill in cavities over time, resulting in concentric banding as layers deposit slowly.
Jewelry: Often cut and polished for use in cabochons, beads, or pendants.
Decorative objects: Spheres, carvings, and worry stones.
Metaphysical (optional belief-based use): Some associate it with grounding energy, emotional healing, or protection from electromagnetic pollution.
(Note: These are spiritual and not scientifically proven)

Physical Support (according to some crystal healers):
Sometimes associated with lung health and aiding those trying to quit smoking, though this is symbolic rather than medical.

Avoid harsh chemicals or ultrasonic cleaners, which can damage the stone.
Rinse well and dry with a soft towel after washing.
Storage:
Store separately or wrap in a soft cloth to prevent scratches from harder stones.
Keep away from prolonged sun exposure to avoid any potential fading of subtle colors.
Handling:
Though durable, it can chip or crack if dropped, so handle with care.
