Amegreen Tumbled Stone .75"-1.25"
Amegreen is a semi-precious gemstone composed of a natural blend of three quartz varieties: amethyst (purple), prasiolite (green), and white quartz. This unique combination results in a stone with soft, soothing energy, often associated with emotional healing, spiritual growth, and heart chakra alignment. Amegreen is prized in metaphysical circles for its calming properties and is typically found in regions of Africa where these quartz types naturally occur together.
Amegreen is prized in crystal healing for its balancing and harmonizing energies, especially:
Emotional Healing: Thought to calm emotional turmoil and support a peaceful heart.
Spiritual Growth: Combines the higher consciousness associated with amethyst with the heart-centered grounding of prasiolite.
Chakra Alignment: Often used to link the heart chakra (green) with the crown chakra (purple), creating a bridge between emotion and higher wisdom.
Soothing Energy: Known for promoting a gentle, nurturing, and peaceful atmosphere.
Caring for Amegreen (a combination of amethyst, prasiolite, and quartz) involves treating it gently due to its natural structure and to preserve its color and energy. Here's how to properly care for and protect your Amegreen crystal:
Use lukewarm water and a soft cloth or soft-bristle toothbrush.
Mild soap is okay, but avoid harsh chemicals or cleaners (e.g., bleach, ammonia).
Dry it immediately with a soft cloth—don’t leave it to air dry on a hard surface, as that could cause scratches or cracks.
❌ Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners—they may cause micro-fractures in the quartz or disrupt the layered bonding between the amethyst and prasiolite portions.
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause fading, especially in the amethyst and prasiolite portions.
Store in a shaded place or in a soft pouch when not in use.
While quartz is relatively hard (Mohs hardness ~7), Amegreen can be more fragile due to the different layers and possible inclusions.
Avoid dropping the stone or exposing it to hard knocks.
Don’t store it loosely with harder stones like diamonds or topaz that could scratch it.
Avoid sudden temperature changes (e.g., going from cold to hot water), as it may cause thermal shock, leading to cracks.
If you’re using it for metaphysical purposes, you can gently cleanse its energy by:
Smudging with sage or palo santo
Placing on selenite or quartz clusters
Sound cleansing (like a singing bowl)
Avoid burying it in soil or salt, which could physically scratch the surface.
