Egyptian Tarot Deck by St. Germain, published by Stuart Kaplan, US Games 1980 printed by AG Muller. This is the complete deck, 78 cards and 2 blank cards, printed in Switzerland. The cards are in excellent condition. The deck is not in the original box, but is in a gold foil plain box. There are no instructions. This 1980 AG Muller edition is considered rare and out of print.
The deck is a reproduction of a deck featured in the 1901 book "Practical Astrology" by C. Saint-Germain. The cards are based on the original Falconnier/Wegener major arcana designs, with some minor changes. The cards feature line drawings in brown on a papyrus-like background, depicting Egyptian motifs and symbolism. The Major Arcana cards have themed titles, while the Minor Arcana feature decorated pips in suits of Pentacles, Cups, Swords, and Scepters. The court cards are called Slave, Warrior, Mistress, and Master. The deck follows the Marseilles tradition.
Order of Cards: The Fool is 0, Strength is 11, and Justice is 8.
Card Size: The cards are 2.37 x 4.37 inches (6.03cm x 11.11cm).
Back Design: The back features a line image of Tutankhamen's mask in sepia on parchment, and is reversible.
The symbolism is drawn from Egyptian mythology and culture. The deck is designed to be read from right to left.
